Trips with DCPC Youth

“And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

It’s good to get away. Sometimes when the crowds got too crazy, Jesus withdrew with his disciples to a quiet place. The early church got together all the time to share meals, laughter, and stories. Getting away lets us take a break, rest, and maybe even grow a little bit.
It’s no secret that youth at DCPC love to get away. Whether it’s a crazy beach trip in Ocean Isle Beach, NC…

We got to go to Massanetta Youth Conference with our friends from Hopewell Presbyterian Church and Davidson Presbyterian Church, and we’re going to DO IT AGAIN in 2013!

Whenever we go away, we seem to come back with a fresh sense of friendship and renewal in our relationships with God.

Middle School Fall Retreat: We’re going to Carowinds for fun, and the Charlotte CROP Walk to fight hunger! Join us from October 13-14 as we spend Saturday riding roller coasters, but then also joining thousands of people in Charlotte to walk and raise hunger awareness. Interested in coming along? Shoot us an email ASAP!

Winter Congregational Retreat: DCPC is making its way over to Montreat from January 27-29, 2013. Join us with people of all ages for worship, fellowship, and a great weekend getaway in the mountains. Details are forthcoming, but we have plans for youth who come with families, as well as those who would like to come on their own.

Winter 2013 Ski Trip: Details aren’t set yet, but we’re planning on an all-day ski trip in the North Carolina mountains, most likely sometime in January 2013.

Summer Conferences:
We have so many summer trips coming up this year! We’ll be posting more information as it comes available, but for now we are making plans for these trips:

• Middle School: Massanetta Springs is an amazing place for middle school youth! Join us for five days of singing, small group fellowship, worship, and crazy games. We’ll be going this year with Hopewell Presbyterian Church from July 9-13. Check out more info at http://www.massanettasprings.org.
• High School: We’re headed to Montreat V, from July 21-27 this year!
